The body of a lawyer from the Balochistan capital of Quetta, who was abducted by Pakistan's Military Intelligence last month was found from the nearby town of Mastung Sunday evening.
QUETTA: At least 75 people were killed and over 200 others received injuries in a suicide attack on Al Qudus Rally at Mezan Chowk in Balochistan’s capital city Quetta on Friday. Dozens of people received bullet injuries as heavily armed men resorted to indiscriminate fire on the people following the attack, officials said.
QUETTA: The situation is heading fast towards a big human crisis where hundreds of thousands of flood affectees are living under the open sky from Dera Allayar, the bordering town of Balochistan with Sindh in sweltering heat without having proper relief. It is worth mentioning here that 13 districts of Balochistan had been affected due to torrential rains, generating flash floods in the third week of July this year.
Wars are rarely lost in a single encounter; Defeat is almost always more complex than that. The United States and its North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies have lost the war in Afghanistan, but not just because they failed in the battle for Marjah or decided that discretion was the better part of valor in Kandahar. They lost the war because they should never have invaded in the first place; because they never had a goal that was achievable; because their blood and capital are finite.
