Excerpts in English:
Baluch nationalist leader and resistance commander Doctor Allah Nazar said in an interview with VSH News TV that opinions are unified on the [soon to be published] Baluchistan Freedom Charter, that the charter is the need of the hour during this stage of the struggle for independence and that changes can be made to the document as needed. "The Baluchistan Freedom Charter is an agreement that is written with the blood of the martyrs of the struggle; it's not just a piece of paper--it talks of the rights, resources, education, the culture and justice of the Baluches."
"The US Congressional bill [introduced by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher] and the earlier Congressional hearing are a result of the sacrifices made by the Baluch. Because of sacrifices made by Baluch freedom fighters, the Baluch cause is gaining recognition internationally. It's the moral responsibility of the international community to accept the Baluch as a separate nation. The Baluch War of Independence is staged to liberate the historic homeland of the Baluches. An independent Baluchistan will respect the rights of its citizens and those of the world."
Dr. Allah Nazar said "We've appealed to the US and the UN for intervention under the UN charter to stop the genocide of the Baluch at the hands of the Pakistani occupation and to put an end to the gross violations of the rules of engagement by the Pakistanis, of which the international community should take notice. We will not allow anyone to exploit our land. We want an independent and sovereign Baluchistan. We've never fought anyone's proxy war, nor are we fighting one now. We haven't asked anyone to intervene, except as is allowed by the UN charter regarding the sovereignty of nations."
Regarding a question related to the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, Doctor Nazar said that the Baluch will never accept any such pipeline transiting Baluch territory, even if the Americans approved of it. The Baluch will not allow any hostile country's ventures in Baluch territory.
"Our struggle is not for the elite class; there is no difference in the blood of Balach Marri, Dil Jan Baluch and Akbar Bugti. Today if anyone is respected, it is because of their contribution to the national cause. The Pakistani media working under an anti-revolutionary policy attempts to defame our struggle by characterizing it as an elitist movement . . . Calling Hyrbyar Marri and Brahmdagh Bugti tribal chieftains is part of Pakistan's propaganda campaign to counter the Baluch struggle . . . Hyrbyar Marri and Brahmdagh Bugti, though born in the homes of tribal chiefs, are known and respected for their commitment to the national cause."
Doctor Nazar said the creation of a state and nation building are two different things; if a nation has a state then it can prosper. "The Baluch state will have have brotherly relations based on equality with all other nations. We will not have any relations with nations that support the enemies of the Baluch. General Hameed Gul and General Qadir Baloch accuse us of being engaged in a proxy war, but we're engaged in a mission to destroy the notion of a proxy war as it's destructive for the Baluch. We're fighting and sacrificing our lives for our motherland, not for someone else."
