QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani has decided to challenge the agreement which was brokered during the previous government with Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) for handling the operations of Gwadar Port, a reliable source within the government seeking anonymity told The Baloch Hal here on Friday night.
According to source, Balochistan Government would file a petition in Supreme Court within few days with a plea that said agreement was inked by previous government without taking people of Balochistan into confidence.
Source said, Chief Minister has summoned Secretary Law, Advocate General and other legal experts in Islamabad for preparation of petition.
It is worth mentioning here that Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani is of the view that agreements regarding Gwadar Port and Reko Diq were against the interests of people of Balochistan.
He had pleaded many times for revoking agreements and demanded for making them in accordance with the wishes of people of Balochistan. Former government had made the agreement with Port of Singapore Authority regarding Gwadar Port for 40 years.
