The Balochistan Peoples Party appeals to pressure the Iranian government to stop mass execution of innocent Baloch people.
The latest report from Iranian official news and human right organizations stated that after shortened courts procedures some Baloch political prisoners have been sentences to death. According to Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran, 8 Baloch political prisoners risk imminent execution. According to Human Rights and Democracy Activists two of the death sentenced prisoners were teenagers at the time of their arrest. They were detained by the Intelligence service and after enduring months of physical and psychological torture by interrogators from the Ministry of Information were forced to make televised confessions against themselves. They lacked access to attorney in the court, and it took few minutes for the court to read their alleged crimes and all of them were sentenced to death.
The two teenagers that have been sentenced to death are:
1-Abdulwahab Rigi was arrest in September 2010 when he was seventeen years old and he was exiled to Qazvin prison in May 2012. Despite of his young age he is placed alongside dangerous criminals awaiting inhuman execution sentence.
2-Mehrollah Rigi was arrested in September 2010 in a raid by agents of the Ministry of Information when he was just 17 years old as well. He was tortured physically and mentally for months by the Information Ministry and was sentenced to death in a few minutes after the court session had started. Currently he is exiled to Semnan Prison awaiting his death sentence.
Some of other Baloch political prisoners held on death row are as follows:
3-Abdulrahim Sohrazahi, 25 years old, was arrested in 2010, he was tortured physically and mentally and was held in solitary confinement for months, currently he is exiled to Hamedan Prison awaiting his death sentence.
4-Yahya was arrested in February of 2011 in Chabahar by Ministry of Information agents and was sentenced to death by Iranian regimes court and without having access to defence lawyer.
5-Salman Mayaee, 26 years old, was arrested in late 2010 in Chabahar area and he was tortured physically and mentally like the others and was held in solitary confinement, currently he is exiled to Khoramabad Prison awaiting his death sentence.
6-Abdulghani Zangizahi 25 years old, was arrested in February 2011 in Khaash and was sentenced to death by Iranian regime, he was tortured physically and mentally and had no access to a lawyer to defend his innocence and currently he is waiting for his death sentence.
7-Habib Riginejad, 30 years old, was arrested in 2009, he has been under physical and mental torture for long time and currently he is held in central prison of Zahedan at unit four awaiting his sentence.
8-Navid Shojaee, 21 years old was arrested in Sarawan - Zahedan road, was held in prison of Ministry of information, tortured severely by intelligence officers, he is sentenced to death like others without an access to an attorney.
According to the Human Right and Democracy Activists in Iran, the policy for executed young people and group execution are defined and taken by the supreme leader Mr. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The verification and order of the implementation is issued by Mullah Sadeq Larijani who is one of the criminals in the top list of International Human Rights Violation.
Balochistan Peoples Party hereby appeals to Secretary General of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and other international Human Rights Organizations to pressurize Iranian government to stop mass execution of the innocent Baloch people.
